Outdoor Landscape Lighting Design Begins with Your Property

Every successful outdoor landscape lighting design begins with understanding the property and the people who use it. During a daytime design consultation or evening lighting demonstration, we walk the property with you, discuss your goals, and consider how lighting could enhance the architecture, gardens, pathways, trees, and outdoor living spaces.

During this initial visit, we create a preliminary sketch and establish the direction of the design. Afterward, our team develops the formal lighting plan and prepares a detailed proposal with the recommended fixtures, installation scope, and financial estimate. From consultation through installation and annual care, you will know what to expect at every stage.

Design Consultation

Understanding Your Property

Choose a daytime design consultation or an evening lighting demonstration, depending on how you would like to experience the possibilities for your property. We will walk the site with you, discuss how you use the space, identify areas of concern, and explore opportunities to enhance the architecture and landscape. A preliminary sketch made during the visit helps establish the direction for your lighting design.

Once your design appointment is approved, you will receive a short project questionnaire with your Jobber booking email. Your answers help us better understand your priorities before we arrive.

Design Plan and Proposal

Bringing the Ideas Together

After the consultation, we develop a formal lighting plan based on your property, preferences, and priorities. The design considers how each area relates to the next, including arrival, architecture, gardens, pathways, outdoor living spaces, and security.

Your proposal outlines the recommended fixtures, installation scope, and financial estimate. Once the design is approved and the deposit is received, we will reserve your installation date and begin preparing for the project.

Professional Installation

From Design to Completion

Before arriving, our installation team will send a text with their estimated arrival time. Each low-voltage LED lighting system is installed by hand with careful attention to fixture placement, concealed wiring, plant material, and the finished appearance of the property.

Most installations take between one and five days, depending on the size and complexity of the design. We will keep you informed throughout the project and treat your home and landscape with care from the first trench to the final adjustment.

Final Review and Follow-Up

Making Sure Every Detail Is Right

Once installation is complete, we review the system and make any final adjustments needed to achieve the intended effect. You will receive the final invoice and a copy of your lighting design schematic by email for future reference.

Our relationship does not end when the installation team leaves. If a fixture needs adjustment or you have questions about operating your system, our team remains available to help.

Annual Care

Protecting Your Lighting Investment

Outdoor lighting changes along with the landscape. Plants grow, soil shifts, fixtures collect debris, and seasonal conditions can affect how the system performs. During annual maintenance, we clean and polish the fixtures, check connections and exposed wire, reposition lights around plant growth, and confirm that the controls are operating properly.

Our USA-made fixtures include a five-year warranty, which is extended to 20 years when the system receives annual maintenance from Northwest Outdoor Lighting. Regular care protects both the performance of the system and the integrity of the original design.
