Why We Love Woodinville
The Heart of Washington’s Wine Country
Woodinville’s charm isn’t just in its wines but also in its community spirit and rich history. The first winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle, opened its doors as the state's oldest winery and now attracts over 200,000 visitors annually to its 87-acre estate. This historic site features an outdoor amphitheater for musical and theatrical events, lush gardens, and tasting rooms that serve as a hub for the local wine scene. Nearby, Columbia Winery continues to build on this legacy, complementing the modern-day wine renaissance that Woodinville enjoys.
Woodinville is a hub of community activities, from the summer concert series at DeYoung Park to the annual Woodinville Lights Festival. These events bring the community together and showcase the city's lively spirit.
As residents of Woodinville, we take particular pride in serving our community, creating lighting designs that not only highlight but enhance the local character. Whether it’s the iconic stag at Willows Lodge or a transformative landscape project in Hollywood Hills, our work is designed to showcase Woodinville at its best.

Hollywood District
Renowned for its scenic beauty and rustic charm, the Hollywood District is a celebration of Woodinville's agricultural roots. This area is home to some of the most prestigious wineries and vineyards, including the historic Chateau Ste. Michelle. The district is not only a wine lover's paradise but also a haven for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts, with well-maintained bike trails that offer stunning views of Mount Rainier. The Hollywood District's pastoral setting is perfect for those who appreciate the slower pace of country living combined with high-quality local produce and wines. Our favorite spot recently has been at Fyre Sauna to do outdoor contrast therapy: hot sauna and cold plunges. We usually pop in to Tarte by Heritage for a cup of coffee and their amazing breakfast pastries.
Warehouse District
As the name suggests, the Warehouse District offers an industrial vibe with a unique twist—it houses the highest concentration of wineries in such a compact area anywhere in the world. This district provides a raw, unfiltered look at the winemaking process, with many facilities offering tours and tastings right where the magic happens. The casual atmosphere is perfect for wine aficionados and novices alike, offering a chance to meet the winemakers and learn about the craft firsthand. We actually held Mary's 60th Birthday celebration at Ambassador Wines. This district is a testament to Woodinville's innovative spirit and commitment to fine wine production. In addition to the wineries, the Warehouse District is also home to Group2Automotive, a cornerstone in the local automotive industry known for their commitment to quality and service. As close partners and friends of the owners, we at Northwest Outdoor Lighting are delighted to support and collaborate with Group2Automotive, which plays a vital role in enriching the vibrant community spirit of Woodinville. Their dedication to excellence mirrors our own, making every collaboration a celebrated part of our community efforts.
West Valley District
The West Valley District is known for its breathtaking views of the Sammamish River Valley and the serene landscape that surrounds it. This less densely populated part of Woodinville offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling other districts, with spacious properties and expansive green spaces. The district's rural beauty makes it a desirable location for those seeking tranquility close to nature, without straying too far from the conveniences of urban life. It’s an area that reflects both Woodinville’s rich history and its new frontiers, appealing to those who cherish privacy and scenic beauty.
