Private Wooded Hillside Residence

Perched in the forested hills of Sammamish, this custom family residence features a stunning series of multi-level outdoor living spaces designed for year-round enjoyment. With layered decks designated for lounging, dining, a fire pit gathering zone, and a built-in kids’ trampoline, the homeowner’s goal was to create warm and usable spaces long after dusk — without overwhelming the natural wooded surroundings.

Northwest Outdoor Lighting designed and installed a complete outdoor lighting plan using 48 integrated LED fixtures in 2700K, providing a natural warm glow that blends beautifully with the tall evergreens surrounding the property. Safety was a primary focus, with pathway illumination on stairs, step details, and deck transitions, ensuring secure footing across the multi-tiered property. Strategic uplighting enhances mature trees and layered landscape textures, bringing depth and visual drama to the outdoor environment.

Today, the property transforms at night into a welcoming retreat — cozy, usable, and visually stunning from every angle.
