Before We Meet
A little preparation helps us make the most of our time together.
Our design process begins with a conversation. We want to understand what draws you outdoors, which areas of your property matter most, and how you envision enjoying your home after sunset.
Whether you're looking to illuminate a welcoming entry, highlight mature trees, improve navigation along pathways, or create a beautiful setting for outdoor entertaining, your priorities help guide our design.
A few things to consider before your appointment:
- Your favorite features. Are there architectural details, gardens, trees, or outdoor living spaces you'd love to highlight?
- How you use your property. Think about entrances, walkways, gathering spaces, and areas that would benefit from additional visibility.
- Your preferred atmosphere. Do you envision subtle, understated illumination or a more dramatic evening presentation?
- Your future plans. If you're considering landscaping, hardscaping, or other outdoor improvements, we'd love to know.
There's no need to have everything figured out. That's what we're here for.

A Few Helpful Details
Do I need to be home for the consultation?
Yes. Your participation is an important part of our design process. We want to walk the property together and understand your vision firsthand.
Should I prepare a list of ideas?
You're welcome to, but it's not necessary. Inspiration photos, landscape plans, or examples of lighting you admire can be helpful if you have them.
What if I already have outdoor lighting?
That's perfectly fine. We can discuss your existing system, what is working, and where improvements may be possible.
Will I receive a proposal?
Following the consultation and any additional design steps needed, our team will outline the recommended scope of work and prepare a custom proposal for your consideration.
